Media5-fone Pro VoIP SIP Phone App Reviews

This works better that any other softphone apps on the app store. I tried many other VoIP/SIP apps and this one is the best business grade softphone available. The setup is easy and the sound is good, in HD it’s unbelievable.

App version and functionality on 2.4 that their website reports looks promising but app store only has 2.3.

The product features and voice quality are great. But after making a call and place the app in background sounds are muted. Major problem as you will not hear an incoming call. Serious bug!

Works good ...but I unnecessarily wasted my money on buying the G729 codec...its a waste cannot make any calls after adding the G729 codec...major bug.

App still has a number of issues with multitasking operating system. Sometimes crashes on entry and other times wont hang up when using across 3G. Works a little better on WIFI.

I had a very difficult time getting it set up the first time--then a year later it just stopped entirely. The Groundwire app was much easier to set up and was definitely worth the extra $2-3 for me. Im pretty tech-savvy, and I dont mind setting things up, especially when they will save me the trouble of running to the office to make calls. At the same time, the app just needs to work. Period.

I use both this SIP softphone client and the Bria client. I use it with our Enterprise Siemens OpenScape PBX and it works great. I also bought the G.729 codec as it is the only codec our system is setup to use. The biggest feature difference Media5 has that Bria does not is the Group contact list. Thank you for making a solid SIP softphone. The only complaints I have is the Media5 client seems to give me low memory warning messages all the time. I do not get the same problem with the Bria client. Also, the dialing rules is not near as flexible as the Bria client. I want to be able to add multiple dialing rules and I cannot see how to do that with the Media5 client. For example, I want one dialing rul to for some numbers to insert "+1" and other rules to ignore for those numbers that already have it inserted.

The first support response on the paid app took two weeks. The follow-up response took more than one month. Neither resolved the problem.

Very good. Excellent Product. I really like this product. Using everyday. Nice improvement. Good quality of voice over 3G network.

So far its been 2 years or so that I have been using the app. Only issue is with apple new iOS release it sometimes affect performance thus there is a need for phone reboot before it works properly. Lastly when I get an incoming call from my phone, it sends my current VoIP call into mute mode ahhhhhh! So its ok for now

Been using the free version for quite some time and finally went to the paid version. Havent had to use support, so cant comment on that. I just wish it allowed simultaneous accounts to work at the same time as Bria does. Otherwise happy with this app.

Keep alive/run in background works like a charm. Perfect for trixbox VoIP servers Was my last attempt to get an iPhone / VoIP client that ran notifications and keep alive in the background on its 5 or higher, and it did not disappoint.

Fine little app. But it doesnt receive till its register every single time.

But I dont see any different free one and this app.

Been using this app for about 6 months. Started with the free version and it worked so well I purchased the Pro. I have multiple accounts set up and everyone hooks up and works quickly. I have accounts set up on Cisco, 3CX, and Nortel/Avaya CS1000. I have tried many other SIP Apps and this one is hands down the best! Only wish that I could send DTMF tones during the ringing cycle of an out bound call. We use account codes that must be post dialed before a long distance call can be completed and I have been unable to complete a long distance call over those trunks because of this limitation. If youve tried Acrobits and been disappointed like I have, you should give this app a try. Start with the free version and see for yourself!

It is great fantastic and safe time and money . It is highly recommended but the only problem it needs strong Internet connection more than 3 G with the support of Wifi I can get excellent connection and and excellent quality of volume in hearing others . Mohamed
